History
of Brown's Gymnastics Brown's
Gymnastics began in Gainesville, Florida in 1976. Founder, Rita Brown, opened
the original Brown's Gymnastics Training Center in downtown Gainesville. In 1983,
Brown's relocated to the Orlando area. Today, the facility in Altamonte Springs
is home of corporate headquarters. Currently there are three locations in Florida:
Altamonte Springs, Winter Park and Lake Mary/Sanford. The
excitement grew with the 1996 opening of a 54,000 square foot facility in Houston,
Texas. Houston's gym is the largest gymnastics facility in the world and features
two complete training centers under one roof. Programs include women's and men's
competitive teams, rhythmic gymnastics, recreational programs and a full preschool
program. In 1998, Brown's continued
its "History of Excellence" by providing a 16,000 square foot state of the art
facility in Las Vegas with gymnastics classes for children walking through 18
years.
Brown's has
expanded again; this time to San Antonio, Texas. early
2004 marked the much anticipated opening of the Stone
Oak facility. Located in the Stone Oak Development, this
facility will continue the Brown's tradition of quality,
first-class facilities with variety of programs for all
gymnastic interests. Brown's is excited to serve the San
Antonio area!
And
we're not finished yet! Brown's is currently exploring possibilities for a North
Carolina location and is seeking individuals interested in owning or operating
a Brown's Gymnastics facility. With this newest expansion Brown's Gymnastics will
encompass 7 locations in 4 states! The
Brown's Gymnastics program has come a long way since it's north Florida beginnings.
It is has become one of the most progressive and prestigious facilities in the
nation. Brown's Gymnastic teams have continued to grow in numbers and honors at
all levels. From state to national level, Brown's women's and men's teams have
captured Olympic medals, national and International individual titles, and top
team awards.
The Olympic
Training Center of Brown's Gymnastics has been the home
of 2004, 1996, 1992, & 1988 Olympic Gymnasts and numerous
National Team Members. Brown's hosts over 5000 students
with over 300 competitive gymnasts through out the United
States. Combining the three facilities in the Orlando
area provides training for over 3000 gymnasts! This program
is recognized as one of the finest programs in the United
States providing training for both boys and girls.
