Eligibility for Camp
Gymnasts who
have reached 8 years of age may participate as full-time campers,
ages 6-8 years of age may participate as commuter campers. All
levels may benefit from the camp. Gymnasts attending camp will
receive 8 hours of gymnastics a day.
Camp Program
Gymnasts attending
camp will be screened by camp coaches during Sunday's skill
evaluation session. Gymnasts will also send a skill evaluation
form to Brown's Gymnastics prior to camp with current skills
and new skills they are training. Both the evaluation form and
skill evaluation will determine at what level the gymnast will
train. Within the training levels, current skills will be improved
and new skills trained. Brown's offers a small group coach/gymnast
training setting that enables each gymnast to receive more individualized
attention.
Supervision
Our staff supervises
the children continuously while at gym. Each camper is assigned
to a camp coach for supervision. Nightly meetings are scheduled
to discuss the next day's activities and any problems campers
may be having. Free supervised times is available before and
after the noon and evening meals.
Safety
Our camp coaches
are safety trained. Equipment, resi-pits, foam pits, and inground
trampolines are utilized to provide the safest training environment
available. The format for training is to eliminate injuries
by utilizing all safety precautions.
Camp Staff
Brown's Gymnastics
offers a premier coaching staff. International coaches from
Russia, Ukraine, USA Elite National Coaches, Olympians, Brevet
Judges and a combined coaching staff with over 200 years experience
which gives our camp gymnasts a week of exciting and dynamic
gymnastics. They are selected not only for their outstanding
credentials but also for their desire to work with children
of all ages and all levels.
Camp Facilities
Brown's Gymnastics - San Antonio
Offers a 16,000
square foot facility which is completely air-conditioned. It
is the newest private gymnastics school in San Antonio, Texas.
Brown's is known for the red/white/blue "All American" decor.
The National Athlete Institute uses the facility to film gymnastics
films for the USA Gymnastics Federation. NAWGJ and the Elite
Coaches Association. Many local and national television networds
such as ABC, NBC, CBS and ESPN have filmed special gymnastics
features at various Browns's Gymnastics locations.

Families
If you are interested
in housing your child as a full time camper we have team families
that will be taking in gymnasts. We will pair gymnasts with
those of the same age and level as your child.

Full-time Camper Fee
includes all camp instruction, room and board, t-shirt and all
camp activities. .
Commuter Camper Fee
includes only gym instruction and t-shirt. The daily training
schedule is as follows:

Commuter campers
must provide their own transportation to and from all three
training sessions.
Payments and Deposits
- A non-refundable $150.00 deposit must accompany each application
and will be accepted on a first-come basis as camp space
is limited.
- The total balance is due by June 1st for the Camp. We
also accept Master Card and Visa.
- After June 1st for the Orlando Camp, the only form of
payment accepted will be cash, money orders, Travelers Checks,
Master Card, or Visa
- After deadline for balances due, gymnasts on the waiting
list will be given the places of the gymnasts whose accounts
are not paid in full.
- Please make checks payable to "Brown's Gymnastics"
- Checks accepted only if received prior to 1st day of month
of camp.
- Camp deposit is non-refundable.
Special Notes
- PARENTS: This Camp is an Sleep-Over or Commuter
camp.
- Early Registration is recommended to ensure admittance.
- If camper is flying to the San Antonio Camp, transportation
is available to and from the airport. Transportation fee
is $50.00 each way.
- If camper arrives early or leaves later and needs housing
prior to camp or after camp, Brown's Gymnastics will provide
housing at $35.00 per night fee.
